Zounds Hearing Consultant
Department: Retail Operations or Field Sales

Reports To: VP, Retail Operations or VP, Field Sales
Position Summary:
Responsible for the dispensing of hearing aids in either state-of-art retails stores or physicians offices. Ensure high quality services, within budgetary guidelines. Responsible for compliance with all local, state, federal, and company policies, procedures and regulations.
Primary Responsibility:
Conduct interviews with customer to find out their communication problems, including background information such as medical history.
Assess the type and extent of hearing loss using a wide range of techniques.
Report results of assessment and testing in writing and make referrals to medical practitioners.
Fit and evaluate hearing aids per established protocols.
Ensure proper documentation.
Enter information into company system on a daily basis.
Ensure that all infection control guidelines are met.
Maintain equipment and supplies to avoid waste, damage to areas and equipment, and to prevent accidents.
Comply with all infection control techniques, procedures and policies: work in a safe manner at all times.
Maintain confidentiality of customer, employee and company information.
Education, Training and Experience:
Must have active state license.
Assist with training apprentice personnel.
Ensure continued certification/licensing.
Physical Job Requirements:
To fulfill job requirements, employee must be able to perform key physical task for extended periods of time.
In a typical eight-hour day, employee will:
• Stand/walk up to eight hours a day
• Sit up to two hours a day
Other Requirements:
The store operates 7 days a week under local mall hours. Schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
Employees are required to comply with all company uniform, appearance, hygiene and health standards.
Employees are expected to carry out all reasonable requests by managers/supervisors, which the employee is capable of performing.
