The introduction of the Zounds Open Fit Mini BTE is in response to the growing popularity among hearing aid customers across the country, especially those with early stage, high-frequency hearing loss.

Occlusion is the result of bone conduction when the opening of the ear canal is closed off by a hearing aid. The Zounds Open Fit Mini BTE hearing aid uses a clear, soft and disposable tip that lies within the ear canal. Because nothing seals the inner walls of the ear, occlusion is not an issue. Zounds feedback management system helps eliminate nearly all feedback, especially when using the phone.
The Zounds Open Fit Mini BTE features the same technology found in all Z1 hearing aids, including multiple directional microphones, patented feedback and noise cancellation technology, rechargeable batteries and high-fidelity (16 bands through 8000 hertz) covering all consonant and speech sounds.
