Noise Cancellation

Being able to hear others in noisy environments is the number one complaint of people who use today’s hearing aids. Contrary to other hearing aids that offer noise reduction that simply reduce both unwanted and wanted sounds, Zounds hearing aids offer state-of-the-art noise cancellation that both reduces the unwanted noise and processes the desired sound so it can be heard in high fidelity.

Directional Microphones

Zounds hearing aids have 2 directional microphones that form a “cone of listening” in front of you. Speech and sound in front of you are clearly heard, while most unwanted noise from behind is eliminated.

Virtually Eliminates Feedback

Zounds hearing aids utilize an electronic solution when dealing with feedback. Zounds sophisticated feedback cancellation identifies the amplified sound leaking around the hearing aid and electronically eliminates most of it before it can squeal.

In addition, objects brought to the ear, such as a phone, cause an acoustic reflection or amplification of sound. Our feedback cancellation technology identifies feedback and electronically eliminates most of it before it can be heard. This allows you to use a phone like it was meant to be used, up to your ear.

Accurate Programming

All Zounds hearing aids are fitted and programmed by licensed Hearing Consultants and Zounds' proprietary programming process, which is very accurate and eliminates translation errors. We test and program the full spectrum of 16 bands, encompassing the low, mid and high frequencies. This provides a rich, high fidelity sound for speech intelligibility, including the difficult to hear higher frequency speech sounds such as “t”, “ch” and “s”. The result is like having a studio quality graphic equalizer in each ear.

Rechargeable

Each Zounds hearing aid comes with a rechargeable battery. No more replacing those costly, tiny batteries. Each night before bed, you simply place your hearing aids in the charging station and by morning, your Zounds hearing aids will be fully charged and last you all day.
