With Zounds Hearing, we've revolutionized the fitting process. No longer do you have to go through the difficult, timely process of having a mold taken. Zounds Hearing offers you three fitting tips options. Your Zounds Hearing Consultant will be able to councel you on which fitting tip is best for you, based on comfort and product family.
Current Hearing Aids
Many hearing aids require a mold to be taken of your ear for the product’s fabrication. The mold is then sent to an offsite facility where, from several days to weeks, the hearing aids are manufactured using an oversized plastic shell. The tight fit may be uncomfortable, may cause perspiration and may make your ear itch. In some cases, the oversized plastic shell can create ear wax compaction which can cause further hearing loss.
The Zounds Difference
Because of its sophisticated feedback cancellation and fitting tip options, Zounds hearing aids do not require a tight fit or ear mold. Our hearing aids utilize fitting tips, available in three options.
Closed Dome Tip
The Closed Dome tip is ideal for those looking for a reduction in occlusion and a comfortable fit. The Closed Dome tips are available on the Clareza and Riazo.
Open Fit Tip
The Open Fit tip is for those looking for the optimal solution to occlusion. The open channels on the tip allow for natural air to flow through the ear canal, limiting the "talking in a barrel" or plugged up sensation. The Open Fit tip is available on the Clareza and Riazo*.
Memory Foam Tip
The Memory Foam tip is soft and extremely comfortable. It is ideal for those who are looking for the most optimal noise cancellation and performance out of their Zounds hearing aids. The Memory Foam tips are available on the Clareza, Riazo* and Potenz.
*The Open Fit and Memory Foam tips are only available on the Riazo 8 and Riazo 16.
