Psychology of Hearing loss

An independent study conducted by the National Council On Aging looked to document and quantify psychological, social and functional effect on those suffering from a hearing loss.

The study found that those who do NOT treat their hearing loss were found to suffer from:

> Depression
> Anxiety
> Limited to no social activity
> Insecurity

Have you or anyone you know suffering from a hearing loss been impacted to some degree by the above? If so, it may be the right time to explore hearing aids as an option.

Those that decided to take control of their hearing loss were found to:

> Maintain better relationships with friends and family members
> Develop improved mental health and faculties
> Realize greater independence and security
