#7: Reduces Occlusion
Current Hearing Aids
Occlusion is the “plugged up” feeling that users may encounter with some hearing aids. Sound created by your own voice travels within your head and vibrates in the soft tissue in your ear canal. The tight oversized plastic shell that some hearing aids use does not allow the vibrations to escape the ear, which causes a “talking in a barrel” feeling.
Zounds Difference
Zounds hearing aids use soft, foam sleeves. These foam sleeves absorb the sound vibrations in soft tissue of the ear canal and help minimize occlusion.
